Persuasion Letters
A persuasive letter can be used if your business is offering the general public
a time-limited discount, a no-strings-attached free gift, an after-purchase rebate or a product guarantee that is generous in proportions.
The goal of a persuasion letter is to persuade a consumer to accept something they might normally object to or reject. Their normal
objections may lead them away from your product as their mind is swimming with questions. With a persuasion letter a business can answer
any questions a consumer might have even before the questions are asked.
An effective persuasion letter describes the product, political issue or business service that you, as a business professional,
are working to persuade the general public to accept. The writer of a persuasion letter must ask themselves if there are any negative
points that a reader will find in the letter. Is there a downside to your product or service that is visibly noticeable? The writer of a
letter must “write” around these downsides by listing the numerous benefits and how the consumer will gain from these benefits. A
persuasion letter should focus only on the positive aspects of a product or service being offered.
The writer of a persuasion letter should include a specific deadline date or a specific list of action the consumer must take in
order to benefit from what is being offered. These are necessary details that lead to a successful persuasion letter.
A letter of persuasion should also list the features, specifications, details or limitations of the product, political solution or
business service being proposed. The writer must be able to tap into what the reader may question. Then the writer must provide the answers
to those questions before the consumer has had a chance to think of and ask the question. All answers must be answered in an effective
persuasion letter.
Persuasion letters should also contain happy customer testimonials and documented evidence about the benefits of the proposed
product or service. This will persuade the reader even further.
All of these suggestions must be followed in order to write a successful letter of persuasion. A letter of persuasion is a way to
sway the mindset, buying habits or voting of the general public.
